Cary Camp - Summer Camp
Cub Scouts of all ages have fun at summer camp! There are two different camps: Adventure Camp and Day Camp. Which camp your boy can go to depends on his age and grade in school. The important thing to remember is that the Cub Scout year coincides with the school year, so everyone advances one den level in May. Thus, if your son is a Tiger Cub right now, he will become a Wolf Cub Scout in May, and can go to Adventure (resident) camp. Note that Tiger Cubs (in this case, boys who will start FIRST grade in the Fall), can only go to Day Camp.
Tiger Cubs (boys who have just left kindergarten and will be in 1st grade in the fall) can go to Cub Scout Day Camp. A parent needs to be at camp with each Tiger Cub. NOTE THAT boys coming out of kindergarten must also register as Cub Scouts.
Wolves and Bears
Wolves and Bears can go to either Day Camp or Adventure (overnight) Camp.
Webelos can go to Adventure Camp. Adventure Camp for Webelos has the same theme as the Wolf and Bear camp, and happens at the same time, but has more advanced activities appropriate for older boys. Webelos may also go to Day Camp if they wish to do so.
Sagamore Council has all the camp details (dates, costs, deadlines, etc.) available on the Council Cub Scout Summer Camp page. Be sure to read through the Parent and Leader Guide for each camp.
