Facilities - Sioux Cabin
Sioux Cabin will sleep 14 people in the main room. A separate room has two bunk beds for leaders, for a total of 18 in the cabin. Sioux Cabin is equipped with electricity and running water. The cabin is located in the wooded area behind McAllister hall, along the the trail that goes to the northern part of Cary Camp. Sioux Cabin overlooks the ravine and the main bridge.
Sioux Cabin was built in 1952 and has more than 900 square foot of space. It has a windowsill air conditioner and a fireplace. The fireplace has been adapted for a wood-burning stove. The cabin kitchen has a a refrigerator, kitchen sink, and a microwave oven. The cabin also has its own outside fire ring.
There are no toilet facilities in the cabin, however, there is a nearby (heated) restroom building located next to Tecumseh Lodge, east of McAllister.
